Vivi was just trying to recover. Between her moms debts, her pervert boss, terrible apartment, and no prospect for a decent paying job in her field, Vivi didn’t have strength for anything else. That’s the exact opposite of what she got. Prescott was strong and controlling. He pushed his way in her life. Vivi could only see the girl she used to be in high school with him.

Prescott was actually good at the family business but, it wouldn’t matter if he kept coming to the office hungover. He had family problems. His father didn’t love him and his mother was no longer in the picture. Thankfully he had his grandparents. Running into Vivi seemed to turn a switch in him. If only she would give him the time of day.

Plot:

It’s not always about what you want but what you can do for others. You can’t wave a magic want over emotions, it takes time.

Negatives:

I think that its crazy that Vivi had to deal with sexual assault just for Prescott to come around and do the same thing. Besides throwing money he should have been sensitive to her emotions. By the end I was so tired of Vivi finding a reason to be mad at Prescott. I also spent most of the book fearing that Vivi might be the type of girl who would turn on her roommate for just helping out.

Positives:

Vivi stayed true to herself. It took a really long time for Prescott to break down her walls. By that time Prescott had morphed into a man who could be worthy of Vivi. There were so many good side characters in each of the leads lives. I love how protective of each other the supporting cast was even though it was the leads that led to the prolonged drama. I always love a bad boy who can change for one girl. Its easy to be comforting when your already a good guy but to make a switch is inspiring.

My Thoughts:

I loved this book as soon as Prescott hired a Private Investigator. I immediately went back to the time when I started reading fifty shades of grey. This book will put you back into that mind frame. The sex was exploratory, and there was the fact that the boss was insane. It also had its own elements that made it it’s own. The main thing was Vivi didn’t give into Prescott. She had more strength to fight her lusts. I gave the book 4/5 stars. This was a good mix up of lust and drama. The author knew how to sculpt the characters brains. I hope to read more by A.M. Hargrove.
